When it is cold outside it is a great time to get busy. A nice casserole dish and some mugs. Perfect for warm food and warm drinks during the cold winter months.

With the cold weather upon us it is a great time to stay warm inside a create great works of art! Groups are working on clay and glass fusing all while staying warm in the studio.
With all of the activity summer has to offer I will confess the Facebook page gets much more attention than the site blog. So if you want to see the latest from the studio like us on Facebook, if you are a Facebooker of course. Here are a few shots from the season.
The summer creative season has started! A fun creation made out of clay is now waiting to be glazed and a creative fused glass night light is being fired today. Completed pictures will be posted in a couple of days. Check back and see the awesome finished pieces!! With Spring comes spring cleaning around the resort and studio grounds. Although we are enjoying being outdoors and in the sun, the studio is always ready for a visit. If you need that special gift, or just feeling creative-and don't mind messy fingers, give us a call.
This group of girls was focused and creative! The glaze was flying but the final results are fantastic.
We were just visited by a girl scout troop from Park Rapids who got creative with clay in the studio . As I've said before, watching them create and have fun is a lot of fun for us. Here they are in action, next I'll post the results!!
As winter releases it's grip on the northland I used a day of warm weather to get a few shots from outside the studio. Now that the snow is melting and the grounds are starting to dry up the Raku firing equipment is again accessible, I think a firing is in the near future.....
I had no idea how much headache a hard drive failure can cause. Unfortunately I know now.
Recently we once again took the studio on the road and visited the artists at May Creek. We have so much fun working with the people and watching them create we can't wait to go back. As you can see the theme was valentines day with heart shaped ceramic containers as the subject. Here they are in action! |
